Shipmaster Transcriptions
Monday, November 12th, 2007Transcriber needed – Shipmaster Association Directory
Saturday, October 27th, 2007Hello!
Shari just sent me a photo of the Shipmaster Association Directory from 1897. I am looking for a volunteer or two to transcribe the data for us to place on the site. There are about 6 or so pages with a bunch of names on. Pretty simple typing.
If you would like to volunteer please let me know. (email address is at the bottom of every page on the linkstothepast.com domain).
I can send a sample page if you want to know what it looks like.
WiRoots.org
Saturday, October 6th, 2007WIRoots.org is undergoing a redo. That is my site I have for Wisconsin Genealogy. I will be further partnering with the WisNetwork.com and enhancing the resources on each county page.
If you have any Wisconsin links such as family tree links, resources, Genealogical Societies, Historical Societies or Musuems…anything of historical value that might be helpful to genealogists, please let me know and I will tell you how you can get the link added to the WisRoots.org.

I am in the process of putting up a photo gallery for Waukesha County and Milwaukee County. I welcome any submissions from anyone out there that has photos they want to share.
I will be making an album for each of the Milwaukee and Waukesha County Cemeteries.

Sneak Peak-New Website Design
Sunday, April 15th, 2007I broke down and finally decided to redo the website design. It is way over due…I know I am sorry!
The new design is Section 508 compliant which means those that may be visually impaired can use different settings and still see everything on the website. The new design will be done with one header and one footer which will make any future design changes much easier. Milwaukee will be a different color than Waukesha so that you will quickly know that you have traveled over 124th and across the county line.
It will take some time for me to redo all the pages so I am letting you have a sneak peak at the new design. I welcome your feedback. If there is anything you would like to see me do a little bit differently, let me know and I will see what I can do.
The new design is now live.
