A bit of bad news from the local newspaper, I’ll move it to the front page where
I have the fees when I verify it’s happened.:
MANITOWOC — The cost for birth certificates and other records at the Manitowoc
County Register of Deeds Office is slated to increase on Monday due to the passage
of the state’s budget.
Copies of marriage, divorce and death records will jump from $7 to $20 for the first
copy. Birth certificates will cost $20, up from $12 each. Additional copies of the
same record will remain at $3 each provided those records are requested at the same
time.
