Transcribers Needed
Sunday, October 22nd, 2006I am looking for transcribers to help transcribe the 1907 Volume of Haight’s Waukesha County Memoirs. It runs from pg 345-701. If you have an interest in transcribing please let me know. The more people we can get, the less each of us has to do. Even one or two pages would helpful.
Let me know.
Milwaukee Breweries
Sunday, October 22nd, 2006I put in a new page which lists some of Milwaukee’s early breweries. As time permits I will transcribe the section on the breweries. If anyone is interested in the brewing industry and wants to volunteer to type up about 15 or so pages from the History of Milwaukee 1881, please let me know. I have the book and can send you images of the pages.
For those of you who wonder why I take the time to type up the information rather than just put up the pages, it is primarily because the words are found when looking up names in the search engines. The images are not found as easily if at all.
I also added the history of the Valentine Blatz Brewery in this section and the Torchiani & Kremer bottlers.
New Manitowoc County Marriages
Sunday, October 22nd, 2006(The marriages I put on Saturday (the 21st) were for 1906, not 1892..Whoopsie) I added a page for births that were announced in Der Nord Westen. I have 1906 done and plan to add the other years. The link is in the marriage section just under the microfiche births. Hopefully you will be able to match some with the microfiche births..hopefully. Just the father’s name was given..I guess the mother didn’t have anything to do with the births. At times they said “Mr. and Mrs.” Added these marriage announcements from Der Nord Westen for 1906 – groom/bride Bartel/Dusold, Barth/Kurth, Click to continue »
